(I)
when lightless is love – lamp!
’tis shorn of ebullient, electrifying fuel;
forlorn, spiritless, flare-less, damp!
no flame glints its spouted jewel;
oh, lies lifeless by soul removal!
sad lightless love – lamp!

when lightless is love – lamp!
it mourns its time-worn, withdrawn wick!
forewarns of a vexing, weepy cramp!
no claim to ousting darkness thick!
dying daily its silent trick!
seiz’d lightless love – lamp!
when lightless is love – lamp!
’twas born to lead through thick ‘n’ thin!
the spawn of an ancient stellar champ!
now shamed, forfeited its kindred spin:
burden’d by haunted hundredth sin!
fallen lightless love – lamp!

when lightless is love – lamp!
how torn betwixt truth and deceit!
scorn’d hero left eclips’d to scramp!
no joys on festive gladdening street,
or denuding twisted paths discreet!
jinx’d lightless love – lamp!
when lightless is love – lamp!
snuck thorns in a bethroth’d glorious bliss:
to bridal eyes a groom – de – camp!*
now blamed for all what’s gone amiss:
airless! craves that illum’d kiss!
loath lightless love – lamp!

(II)

when lightless is love – lamp!
then dwells on deeds damnation brought;
bemoans its quell’d, unifying ramp:
of racist plagues and brotherhoods thwart!
sounds Nature’s rape and furies wrought!
scarr’d lightless love – lamp!
when lightless is love – lamp!
has histories warp’d in mask’d disguise;
forensics from its reminiscence clamp
shows vanquish’d truth and victors’ lies,
ringing war – invaded native cries!
distraught lightless love – lamp!

when lightless is love – lamp!
deplores sexploits and malevolent webs:
untold genocides in shrouded swamp:
of blood ‘n’ bloodless foul regrets!
implores the jinn* to clear its debts!
estranged lightless love – lamp!
(III)
when lightless is love – lamp!
yet holds the hope that law should reign!
still worships peace despite being tramp’d!
let storms of sand engulf in vain:
ever calls for High Power’s cleansing rain!
woke lightless love – lamp!

when lightless was love – lamp!
let go all woes of lost time – ground:
though chronicle must call it ‘scamp!’
restores its faith – has clock rewound!
conflates with fire dutybound!
brave lightless love – lamp!
once lightless was love – lamp!
now knows it takes one spark to burn!
explodes out of its hurtful tamp!
from bygone blundering lives to learn!
‘carnates in a Cosmic Nova turn!
now…
reborn lighted love - lamp!

- groom-de-camp* – a lamp that assists, i.e. lights another lamp
- jinn* – genie; fate / destiny / providence
Can a spiritual poem be a love poem too?
Yes, because true love arises from the spirit – the soul!
Let us all connect at the spiritual level, for then no one shall ever remain lightless…
Let us transform life itself into a love poem!
Amazing poem, a direction to follow the spiritual path
